Construction Trades and Professional Construction
You can chose to study either an apprenticeship or study programme on your pathway to employment. For the majority of trades you will start your journey on a Level 1 study programme, allowing you to develop the skills you need to progress to either an apprenticeship or to continue your study programme at Level 2.
Preston’s College have strong links with key employers and can help you secure an apprenticeship on completion of your Level 1 qualification. Alternatively, our construction study programmes are design to mirror apprenticeships, meaning that you can gain industry skills and experience in our industry standard workshops. If you want to become a civil engineer, architect, building surveyor or construction manager, consider studying the Level 3 Professional Construction, this will allow you to progress to university-level study in a range of related subjects.
Our construction training courses are open to all young people, both males and females from all ethnic and social backgrounds and to young people with learning difficulties, to encourage them to take up an apprenticeship route and learn a trade.
